Overview

Twenty-five years of expertise, behind a site that took ten seconds to open.

Supply Velocity had the track record and none of the search visibility to match it. Faber House audited the technical debt, launched a content and link campaign against the terms their buyers actually use, then moved the entire site off WordPress onto a modern stack. Pages that took over ten seconds now load in 301 milliseconds, and average search position climbed twenty-seven places in six months.

01Context

The Client

Real capability, hidden behind a slow site.

Supply Velocity is a lean consulting and supply chain management firm that has served over 160 clients since 1998, delivering warehouse optimisation, inventory management and Lean Six Sigma transformations for manufacturers and distributors.

The expertise was never in question. But pages took more than ten seconds to load on mobile, a technical audit turned up broken links and duplicate titles, and average search position had drifted past fifty — so the firm was effectively invisible to the buyers looking for exactly what it does.

The Challenge

  1. Gap 01

    Crippling mobile performance

Pages took over ten seconds to load on a phone. Under mobile-first indexing that is not a slow site, it is the single barrier standing in front of every other improvement.

  2. Gap 02

    Technical debt eroding trust

Twelve broken internal links, duplicate content across multiple pages and identical title tags, all of which made it hard for Google to work out which page deserved which search.

  3. Gap 03

    Reputation outrunning visibility

With average search position beyond fifty, twenty-five years of expertise in lean operations was invisible to the manufacturers and distributors actively looking for it.

Content alone would not have moved a site this slow, and a migration alone would have shipped the same technical debt onto faster hardware. Both had to happen together.

The Approach

Fix the issues holding the site down, then build on ground that can actually carry the weight.

  1. Step 01

Technical SEO Audit & Quick Wins

A full technical audit surfaced the slow mobile performance, the broken links, the duplicate content and the duplicate page titles. Fixes were ordered by impact so the issues actively suppressing rankings went first, clearing the ground for everything that followed.

  2. Step 02

SEO Campaign: Content & Link Building

A targeted campaign around supply chain management, lean consulting and operational improvement terms. Existing service pages were rewritten for stronger keyword targeting, and quality backlinks were built from relevant manufacturing and supply chain sites, with monthly analysis feeding the next round.

  3. Step 03

    Complete Platform Migration

The entire site moved off WordPress onto a modern stack, with more than ninety URL redirects mapped so the search authority already earned survived the move. The new build is served from a global delivery network, so it is fast wherever the visitor is.

  4. Step 04

    Performance & Health Optimisation

Post-migration tuning: image optimisation, streamlined code and full Core Web Vitals compliance. The result is near-perfect scores across every testing tool and zero technical errors across nearly five hundred pages.

04 Takeaway

Fix both, and the results multiply.

A twenty-five-year track record deserves a digital presence that matches it. Supply Velocity already had the expertise, the client outcomes and the reputation — what it needed was a site and a search strategy that put those assets in front of the right buyers. Fixing the content and fixing the platform in the same engagement is why the numbers multiplied rather than added: pages that took over ten seconds now open in under a third of a second, and rankings that sat beyond page five are moving toward page one. The new platform is also something they can publish on, so the growth keeps compounding.
